PASSIONATE ENTERPRISE FACILITATOR
The North Santiam Canyon Economic Development Corporation is delighted to announce the search for a full-time Enterprise Facilitator position for our GROW North Santiam Program. We are seeking a highly motivated person who will provide one-on-one assistance to new and existing businesses in our area. Applicants must have, above all, a passion for helping others succeed, and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communications skills, networking/interpersonal skills, high energy for a demanding job, a positive attitude, creativity, resourcefulness, compassion, empathy, self-motivation and civic mindedness. It is advantageous to have experience in private sector/small business ownership or management, Applicant must be able to work cooperatively with a large community advisory board. GROW North Santiam, Enterprise Facilitator Position Description
General Terms and Conditions:
This position as Enterprise Facilitator (EF) provides one-on-one assistance to new, existing and expanding businesses. Work duties are performed in the GROW North Santiam service area along the Highway 22 corridor from Aumsville to the west and Idanha to the east. The EF will work with the GROW North Santiam Project Management Team (PMT) and the Resource Board, and will report directly to the GROW Program Manger.
Duties:
○ The EF will carry out their duties following Sirolli Institute training and methodology. The EF will work directly with the PMT and a local Resource Board in accomplishing the mission of the GROW North Santiam program.
○ The EF will assist any individual or group of individuals to evaluate, start or expand a business. The essence of the work is to provide very personal and confidential service free of charge to the client using the Sirolli Institute Enterprise Facilitation model methodologies.
○ The EF will facilitate a client’s passion to engage in a business activity that they find fulfilling. Information and resources should be provided to clients to help them evaluate and plan for success in their endeavors.
○ Innovation and creativity are required. The EF must believe that each client is unique, and there are no predetermined solutions using the Enterprise Facilitation model. The EF must use creativity and innovation to tailor support and help find solutions for each client.
○ The EF must be highly visible and readily accessible in the community. The EF shall make and maintain personal contact with local business owners, elected officials, agency representatives, civic groups, professionals, and other citizens to build a base of resources, local knowledge, and to familiarize the public with the GROW North Santiam program.
○ The EF must be a self-starter, be able to work independently and willing to work flexible hours and days to meet clients or contacts and attend PMT & Resource Board meetings.
○ Honesty and integrity are essential. The EF must make every effort to ensure their performance and behavior are above reproach. GROW North Santiam is an equal opportunity program and services shall be provided to all citizens living or doing business in the program area.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have all or a majority of the following:
○ experience in business operations or development, finance, or public facilitation.
