What is the Resource Board?

Once a month, the 50+ member local resource board meets with the sole purpose of brainstorming ideas and sharing their networks of resources on behalf of GROW clients. The meetings adhere to a strict ‘no longer than 1.5 hours’ rule. The board is comprised of a diverse group of local residents, business owners and professionals who see the value in supporting the growth and sustainability of local businesses as an important long-term investment. Prior to serving, Board members complete a brief training session to better understand the Enterprise Facilitation model, roles and responsibilities, and matters of confidentiality. Some board members never miss a meeting, others who cannot regularly attend avail themselves via phone or e-mail to the facilitator, providing valuable input.

“Of all of the causes for which I could commit my time and energy, GROW is at the top of the list. This volunteer capacity is rewarding because I see tangible results in the form of business assistance, grand openings, business expansions, and more. I find fulfillment in witnessing these results right here in our community. My sense is that the local 'bubble’ in which we live could be experiencing a more positive economic shift than that of the rest of the country, due primarily to this Enterprise Facilitation project.” - Nicole Miller, Word’s Out PR & the North Santiam Chamber of Commerce
